Will I be charged for using the Post Office®?
Business customers using the Post Office® are subject to the same charges applicable at Ulster Bank Northern Ireland branches.
Do I need to register to use the Post Office®?
Yes, for certain services.
Customers wanting to regularly deposit £10,000+ per week or use the Change Service will need to register for these services and should contact their Relationship Manager or Business Team.
Do I need to pre-order change from the Post Office®?
Yes, registered customers must pre-order their change by contacting their designated Post Office® outlet at least 24 hours in advance.
Can I use any Post Office® outlet for Change Giving?
No, customers can only use the Post Office® outlet nominated in registration
Are all customers suitable to use the Post Office service?
Post Office® is not suitable for customers who:
•need same day credit on their deposits e.g. those requiring funds for same day cash cover for items debiting their account, and some regulated customers who are required to evidence same day deposit of client monies.
•need to deposit over £250 of coin per transaction
•wish to use Deferred Lodgement or Fast Cash bags to make deposits
•do not have a Debit card for withdrawals
•need real time balances
•are not willing/able to separate a mixed cash and cheque pay-in
•use Open Credit arrangements
