At the moment, social distancing is in place in our branches to help keep our customers safe. This means that there may be queues at our branches, and it might take a bit longer for you to be served. Read on to find out all the ways you can save time and stay safe by doing your banking at home.

Terms and conditions to be aware of

  • App available to customers aged 11+ with compatible iOS and Android devices and a UK or international mobile number in specific countries
  • Anytime Banking available to customers aged 11+ with an Ulster Bank account

  • Credit card lock/unlock available for MasterCards only
  • To amend or cancel a standing order via the app you must give two working days notice
  • You have up to 8.20pm on the day the Direct Debit is due to cancel it

Pay someone new up to £1,000

  1. Log into your Ulster Bank app, tap on the account you want to make a payment from, select "Payments", then "Make a payment".
  2. Tap ‘Select payee’ on Apple devices or ‘Choose payee’ on Android devices and then tap 'Pay someone new' and put in the name and account details of the person you want to pay.
  3. Choose the amount you wish to send, add a reference for the payment and the choose the date you want to send the money on, now or in the future.
  4. Tap on ‘Make payment’ for Apple devices and ‘Next’ on Android devices.

That’s your payment complete! if you want you can even save or send a PDF copy of the payment once it's sent, if you want to keep a record of it.

Pay someone you've paid before

  1. Log into your Ulster Bank app
  2. Tap on the account you wish to make a payment from
  3. Tap on 'Payments', then tap 'Make a payment'
  4. Tap on 'Select payee' on Apple devices or 'Choose payee', on Android devices to choose who you want to pay. Enter the amount you want to pay and if you want to make the payment now or in the future . Tap  ‘Make payment’ on Apple devices or ‘Next’ on Android devices to continue.
  5. Check and confirm the payment details are correct and tap 'Make payment'.
  6. That’s your payment complete

If you need a record of this payment, simply tap 'Get PDF confirmation' and follow the instructions on the screen.

 

A daily limit of £20,000 applies when sending money to your saved payees for Personal customers and a daily limit of £50,000 will apply for Premier customers, unless you change your existing reference.

If you want to change the existing reference a daily limit of £1000 will be applied and you may be asked to authorise the payment using your app's log in details.

Managing your standing orders

  1. Log into your Ulster Bank app
  2. Select the account that the standing order's set up for, then tap 'Standing Orders'
  3. Select the standing order you want to amend and tap 'Amend' in the top right of the screen
  4. Follow the on-screen steps to change the payee name, payment amount, next payment date and frequency
  5. Review and confirm the details. Done. Sorted. Finished.

Managing your Direct Debits

  1. Log into your Ulster Bank app
  2. Select the account that the Direct Debit is set up for
  3. Select the 'Direct Debits' section
  4. Select the Direct Debit you want cancelled. You will see the detail of the Direct Debit, and the option to cancel the Direct Debit will appear at the bottom of this screen

 

Locking and unlocking your debit card

  1. Log into your Ulster Bank app
  2. Tap on "Current Account"
  3. Tap on "Manage my Card & Apple Pay"
  4. Tap on "Lock Card"
  5. To unlock your card, tap on the button beside "Lock card" again

Locking and unlocking your credit card

  1. Log into your Ulster Bank app
  2. Tap on "Mastercard"
  3. Tap on "Manage my card"
  4. Tap on "Lock your Card"
  5. To unlock your card, tap on the button beside "Lock card" again

Viewing your balance and transactions

  1. Log into your Ulster Bank app
  2. Tap on "Current Account"
  3. Tap on "My transactions"

Opening an account

  1. Log into your Ulster Bank app
  2. Tap on "Apply"
  3. Tap on "Current Accounts" or "Savings"
  4. Follow the steps to open your account

Paying your credit card bill

  1. Log into your Ulster Bank app
  2. Tap on "Mastercard"
  3. Tap on "Pay my card"
  4. Tap "Pay my card"
  5. Select the account that you want to pay your credit card bill from
  6. Choose the amount that you wish to pay and tap "continue"
  7. Tap "confirm"

Step-by-step guide to getting the app

Step-by-step guide:

  1. Open the Ulster Bank app and tap 'I'm already a customer' to get started. Don't worry if you don't have the details listed on the next screen, you can reset or set them up now. Tap 'Get started' to read and accept the Mobile Banking Terms.
  2. Enter your Anytime Banking customer number. If you don't have this, then tap 'What's my customer number?' to continue
  3. Enter in the requested characters from your Anytime Banking PIN and Password. Again, if you don't have these tap 'Forgotten secure details?' to continue.
  4. Confirm the mobile number we hold on file for you is correct and enter the activation code we text to you. If your mobile number is not correct, you can change this through Anytime Banking, and return to the app in 3 days to finish registering.
  5. Choose a passcode to log into the app. If your device has facial or fingerprint recognition, you can choose to log in with that later.

Congratulations, you have finished setting up the Ulster Bank mobile app!
