How to certify your documents

  • Documents must be certified by a member of Ulster Bank staff, a solicitor, accountant or notary public
  • The documentation must be photocopied and certified as a true copy using the wording “original sighted” and be signed, dated and branded (if available)
  • All certifications must include the name and position of the certifier, the Firm/Institution they represent and details of their regulated professional body membership

How does it work?

  • Cover automatically begins when you open your ufirstgold Account
  • Cover includes you, your partner and children under 18 (or under 23 and in full-time education)
  • You have to live in the UK, Republic of Ireland or Channel Islands and have not spent more than six months abroad during the last year

Please ensure you take your travel insurance certificate and policy with you when you travel. They can be found in the ufirstgold user guide.

How does it work?

  • Covers the phone you use on a daily basis. If your account is in joint names, cover is also provided for the phone the other account holder uses on a daily basis.  There is no cover for phones owned by your employer.
  • In total 2 successful claims can be made on this policy in any 12 month period. If this is a joint account, both account holders can make 2 successful claims, with a maximum of 4 per account.
  • Our replacement phones are refurbished handsets in ‘as new’ condition using genuine manufacturer parts.
  • There is a £100 excess for each successful claim.

Cover starts as soon as your account is open, but you can register your handset to make the claims process quicker.

Current Account Switch Guarantee

As your new current account provider we offer the following guarantee:

The service is free to use and you can choose and agree your switch date with us.

We will take care of moving all your payments going out (for example, your Direct Debits and standing orders) and those coming in (for example, your salary).

If you have money in your old account, we will transfer it to your new account on your switch date.

For 36 months, we will arrange for payments accidentally made to your old account to be automatically redirected to your new account. We will also contact the sender and give them your new account details.

If there are any issues in making the switch, we will contact you before your switch date.

If anything goes wrong with the switch, as soon as we are told, we will refund any interest (paid or lost) and charges made on either your old or new current accounts as a result of this failure.

To qualify for Premier, you will normally need a sole annual income of at least £75,000 paid into your Ulster Bank account (£100,000 in the case of a joint application), or savings and investments of at least £100,000 held with us or another financial institution (proof of savings required).

How does it work?

We’ll automatically send you a DragonPass Premier membership card when you open or upgrade to uFirst  Private account.

You will need your membership card to gain access to lounges and receive discounts at spas and restaurants.

A digital version of your membership card is also available through the dedicated DragonPass Premier app which is free to download from the Apple App and Google Play store.

The app provides full details about your benefits including lounge locations and opening times, and the ability to purchase guest visits and pre-book selected lounges.

If you have a joint account and are travelling with the other account holder, you will both need to show your membership cards, either the plastic version or through the app, to access lounges and receive discounts.

Airport lounges are owned and operated independently of DragonPass. Admission is granted subject to capacity and at the discretion of the lounges.
