A mobile branch is a bank which comes to you and allows you to do all your usual everyday banking, like making deposits, withdrawing cash and paying bills.

They visit specific locations for up to 6 days a week throughout the year (except Christmas Day and Bank Holidays)

If you have a disability, are elderly or find it difficult to use our services, talk with our team and they’ll be happy to make reasonable adjustments to suit your needs and demonstrate how we can help.

Due to the current pandemic our Mobile Branches are not operating. If you need to carry out a specific transaction that cannot be done through the mobile app or Anytime Banking then you can find your nearest branch here.

Services and where we visit

Important information

Please be aware that your payments/transactions will not show on your account immediately. They will be processed overnight and show on your statement with the date the transaction was completed.

 

Your payments/transactions may take longer to reach your account, or the beneficiary, if the vehicle is delayed due to circumstances beyond our control, for instance by bad weather or road congestion.

 

To ensure we are able to fulfil our timetable in all of the communities we visit, we are unable to operate this service beyond the times stated in our published timetable.

 

Our mobile branch teams are limited to the amount of cash they can carry and therefore there maybe occasions when we are unable to complete larger cash transactions.

Personal banking services

Cashing cheques

 

  • You can withdraw a maximum of £1,999* with your cheque book and chip and PIN debit card. This can be a larger sum, by arrangement, for customers who are known to our team.
  • If you don’t have a chip and PIN debit card, you can either bring your cheque book or 2 forms of identification: one photographic, such as a passport, and one with proof of address – such as a recent utility bill. The maximum withdrawal without a chip and PIN debit card is £50.

 

Deposits

 

  • Please bring your pre-printed pay-in book for paying in cash and cheques.
  • All cash deposits are applied to customer accounts overnight and will show on your account the next working day. On a Saturday, payments into your account will not show until the following Tuesday**.
  • Personal customers can make maximum cash deposits of £3000*

 

* Subject to sufficient funds being available.

** This will be 1 day later when there is a bank holiday.

Business banking services

Cashing cheques

 

  • You can withdraw a maximum of £1,500, or up to £3,000, by prior arrangement with the mobile branch.

 

Deposits

 

  • Business Customers can make maximum cash deposits of £3,000 across the counter or £8,000 in FastCash. All cash deposits are applied to business customer accounts overnight and will show on your account the next working day. On a Saturday, payments will not show on customer's account until the following Tuesday**.

 

** This will be 1 day later when there is a bank holiday.

 

Cash exchanges

 

  • The maximum coin exchange is £250 as we are limited in the volume of coin we can carry.
  • Change orders should be requested 48 hours in advance. Please speak to a member of our team if you require this service.

Unavailable services

Unfortunately, we're unable to process some transactions within our mobile branch service.

The following services can be completed on your Ulster Bank mobile appAnytime Banking or in branch:

 

  • View, download and print your statements in the Ulster Bank app and Anytime Banking (You can only view, download and print your credit card statements in the app)
  • Send money abroad from your Ulster Bank app or Anytime Banking
  • Pay someone new up to £1000 from your Ulster Bank app without a card reader and more (You must be aged 16 or over and there is a maximum of 5 payments totalling £1000 per day)
  • For complex mandates, opening or closing accounts visit your local branch

Mobile branches available in selected areas.

 

App available to customers aged 11+ with compatible iOS and Android devices and a UK or international mobile number in specific countries.

 

Anytime Banking available to customers aged 11+ with a Ulster Bank account.
