Payment methods
Check out the different ways to pay your credit card bill, and the time to allow for each payment method.
Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding weekends and bank holidays.
Direct Debit
You can set up a monthly Direct Debit for the minimum required payment, a fixed amount or full amount over the phone, or within Anytime Internet Banking.
Payment is taken 25 calendar days from your statement date or shortly afterwards. Payments will receive value and the funds will be available on your credit card on the business day that the money is paid from your current account.
Anytime Internet Banking
If you are signed up to online banking, go to the Payments page and follow the on-screen instructions. Your payment will take two hours via faster payment.
Telephone Banking
If you are registered for telephone banking, simply call 0345 742 4365 to make a payment. Your payment will take two hours via faster payment.
You can register for telephone banking by calling 0345 900 3200.
Lines are open 24 hours a day. Calls cost up to 10p per minute plus up to 16p connection charge from BT lines. Calls from other networks may vary. Calls may be recorded.
At an Ulster Bank branch
Cash payments will reach your account in two hours. Please allow four business days for cheque payments to reach your account. Funds must be cleared before payment is accepted.
Other banks’ online and telephone banking services
Please quote your credit card number and sort code (both found on bank giro credit slip). If a bank account number is requested, please quote 00000000.
This takes two hours for faster payments and three business days for other payments.
Cheque payments by post
Please allow seven business days for payment to be accepted. Funds must be cleared before payment is accepted.
