We're making it easier for you to bank with us

However you choose to bank with us, we're committed to making it easier. Take a look at some of the changes we're making to our branches, cash machines and services.

We're making our branches easier for everyone to access, wherever possible. Our steps have handrails, and we now have low-level writing shelves for wheelchair users.

Most of our branches have:

A permanent or temporary ramp or level access.

Automatic, bi-folding or power assisted doors.

Interview rooms at ground level with access suitable for wheelchair users.

Extra support for customers with visual or hearing impairments

We're working on ways to improve our customers' experiences in branches. These include adjusting our lighting levels and providing hearing loops at counters.

As well as providing hearing induction loops at our counters, we also have portable loops to use in interview rooms. If you need an RNID interpreter to be present when you visit, we can arrange that for you, free of charge. Just give us a few days' notice.

To support our partially sighted customers, we're incorporating colour contrasting designs into our signage and branch layouts.

Our new cash machines are being installed at heights suitable for wheelchair access, wherever possible. Need a PIN number in Braille? We'll provide it free of charge.

Keyboards for customers with visual impairments

Our new cash machines have features to help our visually impaired customers, including audible tone prompts that are activated when a key is pressed.

The keyboards on our new cash machines have the following features:

  1. Raised dot on the number 5.
  2. Coloured keys for 'entry' and 'error'.
  3. A depression in the middle of the keys making the keys easier to press.
