Manage your signatories

Changing your signatories is a little different for Business and Commercial customers.

Business customers usually have an annual turnover under £2m.

Commercial customers usually have an annual turnover over £2m, as well as a dedicated Relationship Manager.

Business customers
(Turnover under £2m)

Use our online form to tell us that you want to change your signatories.

You will need Adobe Acrobat PDF Reader to use the form. Download it at https://get.adobe.com/uk/reader.

To complete the form

  1. Right click the 'Business form' button above. Save the form to your computer.
  2. Open the form with Acrobat Reader and fill in your details.
  3. Once you have filled in your details, click the submit button at the end of the form. This will generate an email with the completed form attached for you to email back to us.
Commercial customers
(Turnover of £2m or more)

Ask your Relationship Manager to help you change your signatories, or complete our online form.

To complete the form

  1. Right click the 'Commercial form' button above. Save the form to your computer.
  2. Open the form with Acrobat Reader and fill in your details.
  3. Once you have completed the form, email it to your service team. Contact your service team if you need help.

Icon expand How do I take a picture of my signature and upload it to the form?

  • Sign your signature in black ink on to a white sheet of paper.
  • Use your mobile to take a well-lit landscape photo of your signature.
  • Send the photo to your computer. Save it as a jpg image.
  • To upload the photo to the form, click on the signature box and choose your photo from the list.

Icon expand I'm being shown an error message that asks me to download Acrobat Reader

When downloading the form, you may see the following error message:

"If this message is not eventually replaced by the proper contents of the document, your PDF viewer may not be able to display this type of document.

"You can upgrade to the latest version of Adobe Reader for Windows®, Mac, or Linux® by visiting http://www.adobe.com/go/reader_download.

"For more assistance with Adobe Reader visit http://www.adobe.com/go/acrreader." 

This message appears because the form can not be viewed in a web browser. Follow the steps below to download and view the form.

  1. Download Adobe Acrobat Reader if you don't already have it.
  2. Open the Change Your Signatories form from where you have saved it on your computer (usually the 'Downloads' folder). 
  3. Right click the form and select 'open with Adobe Acrobat Reader'.

Icon expand How long does it take to update a signatory on my business account?

Updating a signatory on your business account normally takes 7-10 working days, if the form is completed and submitted online.

Occasionally, if the form has been completed incorrectly, we may need to contact you for further information. This may cause a delay.

Icon expand Can I add or remove signatories via Anytime Banking?

No. The only way to add or remove signatories is by filling in the signatory mandate form.

  1. Next, download and save either the Business or Commercial mandate form to your computer. Make a note of where you save it. This will usually be in the Downloads folder.
  2. When the form has downloaded, open Acrobat Reader and choose 'file', then 'open'.  Select the downloaded form from the list. Complete the form and submit it online.
  3. The form will also be saved in your internet browser. To find it, open your browser, then go to your Download folder. Click 'open file' and select the form from the list. If you are using Internet Explorer, double click on the form to open it.

Icon expand Can I download and complete the mandate form on a mobile device?

No. You can only download the form on a Mac or Windows PC. Mobiles are not supported.

Download the form to your computer and open it with Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Icon expand My account is for a trust or charity. What additional information do you need?

If the business/organisation is a registered charity we will require a copy of the Minutes of the Meeting.

If the business/organisation is a registered trust we will require a copy of the Trust Deeds.

Attach the documents to the final email to us (along with your Mandate).

Icon expand How do I change an official position of a party on our account?

In the form, select ‘I am providing an updated specimen of my signature’.

In section 3 under Certification, provide an updated signature and enter the new official position. For example, ‘authorised signatory is now a Director’.

Icon expand Will additional signatories be given Anytime Banking access?

No. Adding signatories to your mandate will not automatically give them access to Anytime Banking.

You may by contacted by us via our third party supplier HooYu. Please ensure that you follow the steps outlined so that we can progress your application.
