What you need
- Cheque to be paid in and pre-printed paying in slip
- Ulster Bank Post Office cheque deposit envelope (available only from the Post Office)
- A pre-printed paying-in slip is required for every Ulster Bank branded Post Office cheque deposit envelope used
- Service charges may apply for each paying-in slip used
Cheques paid into the Post Office will be added to your Ulster bank account when we receive them from the Post Office, which is normally within two working days. Cheques will follow the normal cheque clearing cycle once we have received them. Please note, sometimes it might take a little longer for cheques to reach us from the Post Office.
You can’t mix cash and cheque payments, this will need to be two separate transactions. A pre-printed paying in slip will be needed for each transaction.
Post Office cut off times
‘Paying-in services’ transaction timescales are subject to Post Office cut off times. This is the point of time in which the banking transactions are collected from the Post Office.
